School Life

Transportation

Prior to every break, all students are required to fill out a travel form, which explains their travel plans, needs and requests. It is assumed by the school that the information being provided is truthful and travel arrangements are made according to the requests on the forms but are confirmed on a case by case basis.
Air Transportation
Prior to every extended break, the school has scheduled a designated travel day when transportation will be provided to the two major airports in the area: Manchester-Boston Regional Airport and Boston’s Logan Airport. The dormitories are open and meals are provided prior to the travel day so that all students are able to plan travel in such a manner that they will not need to miss classes. All students are expected to be at all classes prior to and following long weekends and extended vacations. For a complete list of when shuttle services are provided, please view the 2011-2012 travel calendar.

Students who desire a shuttle to either Manchester-Boston Regional Airport or Boston’s Logan Airport must sign up for the shuttle. The shuttle leaves campus at 8:00 a.m. and delivers students to their respective airports. Students who travel out of South Station in Boston are recommended to use the shuttle to Boston’s Logan Airport, where they can connect to the Silver Line, which ends up at South Station. Similarly, students are picked up in a designated location from either airport at 5:00 p.m. on the day students are required to return from break.

Ground Transportation
While the school does not endorse a particular taxi or shuttle service, we have used all of these services in past years.  For students flying in and out of Boston’s Logan Airport, Lakes Region Student Transport has been found to be most reliable.  All services listed have performed standard trips to Manchester and Concord.  If you have questions regarding ground transportation or would like assistance, please contact Heidi Follansbee.

More detailed policies for campus departures are outlined in the student handbook.
