Community Service Day 2018
On Wednesday, May 16th, Tilton Schoolcontinued the longstanding tradition of the all-school Spring Community Service Day. On a choice spring day, for more than 20 years, students and faculty have gone out into the community to help neighbors and service partners with cleanup projects and more.
The school was divided into groups of students and faculty who tackled service activities both on and off campus. Projects included assisting at the Bread & Roses Soup Kitchen, cleanup at Pemi Youth Center, helping at the New Hampshire Veterans Home, picking up local parks, volunteering at TIlton Senior Center, maintenance at the Pemi Youth Center and tidying up campus gardens.
“Community Service Day allows for our students to learn more about the needs and services of the greater Tilton community,” said Julie Caldwell, Director of Community Service at Tilton School. “Additionally, local organizations benefit from the time, talents, and energy of the Tilton students as they assist with a variety of projects.”
