Candy has been affiliated with Tilton School since 1983. She has worked in the Admissions Office since 1998, now serving as the Director of Admissions. Candy, holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of New Hampshire and a master's degree in organizational leadership from Southern New Hampshire University. Along with her duties in the Admissions Office, she coordinates the Tilton Ambassador Program, and is also an advisor to 11th and 12th grade students. Candy lives on campus with her husband, Mike, who is an English teacher and the academic dean. They have two daughters, Lauren '02 and Ashley.
Associate Director of Admissions/Financial Aid Coordinator
Lynnette Lawrence joined Tilton School in summer 2017 and brings with her more than 21 years of experience in the fields of secondary and higher education. Before joining Tilton School, Lynnette worked in admissions and enrollment management for Plymouth State University, Franklin Pierce University, and Alfred University. Over the course of her career, Lynnette also spent six years as a high school guidance counselor. Lynnette holds a Master of Science in Education and Counseling from Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y., and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Gerontology from Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y.
Robin joined Tilton School in the summer of 2016 as an Assistant Director of Admissions. Robin’s most recent work experience includes time at Granite State Management and Resources in Concord, N.H., where she spent several years as a student loan analyst. Robin also brings prior admissions experience from her four years as an Admissions Specialist at Loyola University in Baltimore, Md. An avid volunteer, Robin holds her MBA in Marketing from the University of Baltimore and a bachelor’s degree from Towson State University.
Assistant Director of Admissions and Summer Program Director
Ben Tefft officially joined the Tilton School community in the fall of 2015 as a science teacher, dorm head in Beaumont and head coach for the girls’ varsity hockey team. For three years he was the Associate Head Coach of the New Hampshire Fighting Spirit, a junior A hockey team that is a member of the NA3EHL where he gained extensive recruiting experience. Prior to coaching with the Spirit, Teff was the Head Coach of Boys’ Prep Hockey at the National Sports Academy in Lake Placid, N.Y. There he also served as a geometry teacher, dorm parent, and faculty advisor. He was also a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Queensbury, N.Y. high school hockey team. Tefft is the newest member of the Admissions team!
Bryce joined Tilton in the Fall of 2018 as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Assistant Boys' Varsity Lacrosse Coach. Prior to Tilton, Bryce was the Assistant Coach for Elmira College Men's Lacrosse team from 2016-18 and spent the last six years living and working in the Southern Tier of New York State. He is extremely excited to be living and working back in New England. Bryce is originally from Maine and enjoys working out, skiing, hiking, and the outdoors. He lives on campus in Chase House.
Admissions Associate, Head Boys' Hockey Coach, Rink Manager
In August 2015, Brooks was appointed Head Boys' Hockey Coach and Rink Manager, along with his continued duties as an Admissions Associate. A 2004 graduate of Tilton, Brooks joined the Tilton faculty as member of the Learning Center staff in 2010 after spending a year as an assistant coach with the varsity hockey and baseball programs. At Tilton he has also served as a teacher in the CAA, Director of Summer Programming and a member of our Residential Life Staff. As a Level 4 instructor with USA Hockey, Brooks is an active member of the New England district coaching program. Brooks earned a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 2008, and an M.B.A. with a certificate in Investment and Finance from Plymouth State University in 2013. Brooks lives on campus with his wife, Susie.
Sharon joined the Admissions Office in 2012. Prior to joining Tilton School her experience included office management, marketing, customer service and event coordination. Sharon's responsibilities include managing the work flow from the beginning of the application process right through the processing of final decisions. She may well be the first person you speak with on the phone should you call our office. Outside of the office, Sharon enjoys spending time with her family at Webster Lake in Franklin, N.H., and traveling to her camp in the Northeast Kingdom of Vt.
