In 2019 to date Tilton School has gained over 500 followers on Instagram. Photos and videos shared have garnered over 10,000 likes and over 5,000 profile visits. They have reached over 30,000 people - current Rams, Rams of the past, parents, friends, and prospective families.
Seeing these numbers is great! From a marketing and communications standpoint, it means we’re doing our job. But as members of the warm and supportive community that is Tilton School, it’s the moments we capture that truly matter. When posting, we try our best to give the most accurate portrayal of life here on the Hill. Social media is a highlight reel, and we know there are not-so-pretty moments that we don’t capture - feeling home sick, losing a big game, getting in a fight with your best friend - but what we do show is how we get through these tough moments together. The hard things in life are easier when you have a community that supports you, and that is a fact of life that will never change.
In the spirit of our 2019-2020 theme of Moments Matter, here is a look back at Tilton School’s Top 5 Instagram Posts of 2019 and the moments the represent.
Powder Keg Fall Hype Video
It is constantly humbling to witness our student athletes compete. Win or lose, the amount of talent, sportsmanship, and grace displayed by Tilton teams brings a sense of pride to the entire community. With this hype video, the goal was to show you just how amazingly awesome you are. There is pride in wearing black and gold, and we’ll never stop reminding you of that.
Boys’ Varsity Hockey wins 2019 NEPSAC Small School Championship
The image of sticks, gloves, and helmets descending onto the ice of Saint Anselm College during the 2019 NEPSAC Piatelli-Simmons Small School Tournament is immortalized on the grid. This win by the Boys’ Varsity A Hockey team was a big one, 17 years in the making, but it stands for so much more than that. It’s a prime example of what happens when you come together as a team, work hard, and never give up.
Research shows that gratitude increases well-being. Seeing what Rams are thankful for is one of our favorite parts of the year!
Every year, a new group of #FutureRams are the first to see our acceptance video. This video shows what Tilton is about - what we stand for, who we are, and how we roll. It's also an exhilarating moment to welcome new faces on campus, knowing that Tilton School is not just a school, but a part of their life journey. Looking forward to welcoming Future Rams 2020!
Pink Sky Chapel
This photo by Molly Dexter ‘20 is not only gorgeous, it represents one of our most beloved spaces on campus. The chapel is where we come together as a community, whether it’s for school meeting every Friday or for special awards honoring students. The process of relocating the chapel from Canterbury in the 1960s was hard fought. Then student body secretary Chuck Zion ‘65 made a tireless effort to raise money for the relocation, recognizing the importance of an updated community meeting space. We lost Chuck on 9/11, but his spirit lives on every time we gather as a community in the pews of the chapel he helped erect.
Thank you for allowing us to capture and be a part of these amazing moments. We can't wait to make more in 2020!
Forever Tilton True,
