Each year, Tilton School brings new perspectives and backgrounds to campus through new additions to our faculty and staff. Last week, we welcomed seven new RAMnation family members to the Hill. Get to know them below!

Morgan Brown

Science Faculty

Morgan Brown joins us as a member of the science faculty. With five years in education under her belt, Morgan is from State College, Pennsylvania but has been living in Natchez, Missouri for the past five years. She achieved her undergrad degrees at Penn State and her masters at John Hopkins University. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys playing board games; watching anime and favorite shows on Netflix; drawing and crafts, and hiking and biking in the mountains. Her favorite ice cream is Cookies-N-Cream.

Morgan will be coaching Cross Country and assisting with Community Service. She will reside in Beaumont Hall with her cat, Katniss.

Maura Veilleux

Science Faculty

Bringing to Tilton nine years of education experience and a love of all ice cream. Maura Veilleux grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut. She attended Muhlenberg College and the University of Connecticut. As a new member of the science faculty, Maura will be teaching chemistry and coaching JVB Boys’ Soccer. She is an avid skier and hiker who also enjoys sailing and introducing her kids to new activities. 

Maura will be living in Pfeiffer with her husband, two kids, and six-year-old Great Pyrenees named Tuukka.

Jason Roy

English and Social Science Faculty

Jason Roy has been a part of the Tilton Community part-time for three years but joins us full time this fall. During the summers, he runs a theater program for children and community members called One Light Theater. This program operates out of Rome Theater in Hamilton Hall. After college, he spent 6 months on tour as an actor in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and currently works as a freelance theater designer in New York City.

Jason lives in the Mansion with his dog Marvin and turtle Phillip. 

Mike Schafer

International Manager

Mike Schafer comes to Tilton with extensive experience in education and various international positions, living and working abroad for many years. He graduated from Colby College with a  BA in Spanish and from Harvard University with an M.Ed. Administration, Planning and Social Policy. This year, he joined a team of twelve volunteers on the Commission on International Schools for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. For the last six years,  he has served as founding head and chair of the GAIL Schools alliance, formed in Dubai, in 2013, an association of eight independent schools from across the globe. He also has experience working for the world’s largest international sporting organizations: FIFA - US Gold Cup, and World Cup venue directing, USOC, Barcelona Olympic Committee, and multiple international Federations and their global business partners, vendors, and legal entities.

Phil LaCasse

Social Science Faculty, Assistant Boys’ Varsity A Hockey Coach

A native of Concord, New Hampshire, Phil LaCasse joins Tilton School as a member of the Social Science Faculty, teaching American History and AP American History. A graduate from Southern New Hampshire University, Phil has nine years of experience working in education. An avid hockey player and coach, he will be assuming assistant coach duties for our Varsity A Hockey Team. 

Phil will be living in Maloney Hall with his wife and eight-year-old rescue dog, Titan.

Kim Tiberi

Science Faculty, Assistant Girls’ Hockey Coach

Kim Tiberi has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with Minors in Biology and Coaching from Norwich University. While there, she played ice hockey for 4 years! She spends her summer coaching hockey camps and enjoying the outdoors. She loves being outside and hiking in the Mountains and her favorite food is Mexican especially guacamole!

Meredith Gadd

Associate Director of College Counseling and Grade Level Leader

Meredith Gadd has a BA in psychology from Colby-Sawyer College and an MS in Leadership from Granite State College. She has over 10 years of experience working at both the boarding high school and university level in admissions and college counseling. Meredith is also an accomplished skier and soccer player, both sports she has also coached!
